Bill Schroeder is
the owner of the store and the manager for Bird Seed (Department 1). When
in the store, Bill tries to spend about half his time waiting on customers.
A considerable amount of his other time is spent training and retraining
employees. Since our product selection changes continuously, all employees
need to be aware of what is coming and going.

Our store carries four seed blends and six individual types of bird seed.
A blend of several seeds is the best way to attract a variety of birds to
your backyard. Our seed is very fresh because we receive a delivery
every week. Our custom blends do not contain any fillers or seeds that
the birds do not eat in the Tri-Valley area. Stop in the store for a

lot of empty shells to sweep up or sunflower and millet seeds germinating in

Thistle (also called Niger or Nyger) |
During the winter and early spring in the
Tri-Valley area we have large numbers of American Goldfinches and thistle is
their favorite seed. It is a tiny seed grown overseas and toasted before
being imported into the United States. We sell thistle in three
different bag sizes: 5 pounds, 10 pounds, and 20 pounds. |
